FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: FRANKLIN, TN -03.30.09–INDIEHEAVEN.COM/CHRISTIAN INDEPENDENT ALLIANCE ANNOUNCE WINNERS OF THE 2009 MOMENTUM AWARDS

Leading independent Christian organization announced winners at their annual CIA Summit conference, March 28, 2009

Indieheaven.com/The Christian Independent Alliance, the leading organization for Christian independent musicians announces the winners of the 2009 MOMENTUM AWARDS. The Momentum Awards, now in it’s 4th year, are the premier award recognition program for Christian independent artists. Previous award winners have seen opportunities for advancement in their music and mission because of the recognition the awards garner. Some have moved into the CCM Industry, while others have continued to see success as independent artists. See a recap of the 2008 Momentum Awards Here.

Indieheaven president, Keith Mohr states, “as the music industry continues to change and more and more artists are either staying independent or going back to their independent roots, it is important to recognize the pursuit of excellence in this growing indiestry. The basis for the Momentum Awards is not competition, but comrades applauding and encouraging one another to create momentum in their music missions. We teach indies that momentum is paramount to success as an independent artist.”

Regretfully, I was unable to attend the 2009 CIA Summit, due to many issues that continued and rolled over from last year’s devastating hurricane that struck our region. Having to miss the CIA Summit was probably one of the most mental difficult things I have encountered, with almost every awakening minute thinking about what was going on at the Summit. During the 3 days, I constantly found myself wishing with every fiber within me that I was there to hear and soak-up the spirit from the incredible artists! I am looking forward to being there in 2010! Never never take for granted the blessings that the CIA Summit brings and opens for Christian Independent Artists! You do not realize the depth and blessings it brings until something happens and you cannot participate. Congratulations to all CIA Winner! Hope to see next year!
God Bless!
